Andy Davidson, a friend of George Shiel- the first Loves drummer, contacted me at some point in 2005 and said "I've done a remix of one of your songs". He taken the vocal from the original version of "She'll Break Your Heart" and shoved it on top of a load of samples of "Roller Girl" and "Summer Nights" from Grease. It really worked so I asked if I could put it on "Technicolour". If Primal Scream can put remixes of old songs on new LPs so could I.

Living in Australia pretty much rules me out of ever attending this festival so my annual purchase of this compilation is surely the next best thing. And I'm pleased to relate that it's up to it's usual high standard. Gavin Hellyer

Another great album - dean wareham, joanna gruesome, lonely tourist, dorotea, the chills, manhattan love suicides & spearmint are all highlights but the whole lot is pretty darn great really martin kiosk
