This was my acid song. I took it one night in 2008 with my housemate Andrew, had a range of experiences and to cap everything saw myself walking up the stairs as I laid at the bottom of them. My overwhelming feeling was "You won't be remembered" Prove me wrong kids! The LP version features Doug Yule from the Velvet Underground as the voice of Jesus' answerphone. This version (from our farewell show) features Sean Price from Fortuna Pop instead. The full line-up for the show was Jamie Holman, The Were-Wandas (feat. Delia), The Vinyl Stitches, Pocketbooks, The Lovely Eggs, The School, Comet Gain and us.

Living in Australia pretty much rules me out of ever attending this festival so my annual purchase of this compilation is surely the next best thing. And I'm pleased to relate that it's up to it's usual high standard. Gavin Hellyer

Another great album - dean wareham, joanna gruesome, lonely tourist, dorotea, the chills, manhattan love suicides & spearmint are all highlights but the whole lot is pretty darn great really martin kiosk
