Our first time live on the wireless. Everything was a blur apart from John Peel introducing himself by walking into the green room of Maida Vale with cheery "What's happening pop kids?" and then asking if he could watch the football. As we drove home in the minibus I got a massive migraine. This song was one of the first I ever wrote. Without being able to play an instrument.

Living in Australia pretty much rules me out of ever attending this festival so my annual purchase of this compilation is surely the next best thing. And I'm pleased to relate that it's up to it's usual high standard. Gavin Hellyer
